WAXING AND SUGARING

Sugaring removes dead skin cells and makes the skin look younger and healthier. Sugaring is much more than hair removal. For many, it is also a monthly skin cleansing that removes dyes and chemicals that attach to you from your clothes. After sugaring, the skin is easy to care for at home. The lotions absorb more quickly and more comfortable to apply to silky smooth hairless skin. Tattoos also tend to brighten up when the dead skin cells are removed.

What to do before and after waxing/sugaring

before:

  • Let your hair grow(for the best results the recommended time frame is 3-4 weeks since your last wax, or 2-3 weeks since your last shave)
  • It is best to exfoliate your skin 24 hours before waxing. However, don’t exfoliate before waxing only; it has to be done frequently to really get results.
  • Do not consume alcohol or significant amounts of caffeine before your wax. They can cause pores to tighten, which could make it a more uncomfortable experience.

After:

  • Wear looser clothing and natural fabrics like cotton, to help your skin breathe easy and calm down after treatment.
  • Don’t apply any topical lotions for at least 12 hours, as fragrances and other substances may cause irritation in these extremely sensitive areas.
  • Do not take a hot shower or a bath, if you do use lukewarm water
  • Avoid scratching and touching the area
  • No saunas, hot tubs, massage or steam treatments 48 hours after.
